We have had 80s (stinkin’ Aframe, we had to turn on the ac!), pouring rain, and now it’s a bit chilly. With an overnight low of 43, I had to turn on the HEAT! Grrr… Weather in the spring is such a fickle thing!
The garden is flourishing though! Despite the odd fluctuations, God’s miracles can be seen!
“God Almighty first planted a garden. And, indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures.” Francis Bacon
We have been able to harvest lettuce, greens, radishes, and some baby carrots. Since they need a bit of thinning! Last night I put together a yummy skillet with spinach, kale, radishes, carrots, and chives from the garden with naturally raised ground pork. YUM!
I didn’t get a plate picture, but we had roared potato on the side and some of this yummy pickled veggie mix! I forgot we made these last year. They are so tasty. 🙂
Night before last, we witnessed Mama hen and baby starting to get picked on, so we had to move them. Here are the last photos we got. They are ok for now. And the 15 remaining chick (out of nearly 30) I got for my birthday are growing well!
CALLING ALL LOCAL FRIENDS!!!! SO, WE HAVE KITTIES!! Please help us find a home for them!!! A couple are manx (born without tails). LOTS to choose from. They could be indoor kitties, barn cats, or anything in between!!!!
Continued prayer goes out for Baby Caudill. There is a chance he may have to have a liver transplant. Please keep him in your prayers.
Also, Matt’s back has been really bad and our doctor (office) won’t even return calls. It’s a terrible time to be hunting for a new doctor. Please pray for Matt to have less pain and be able to continue things he needs to do. It seems to be worse after being still (sitting, sleeping). It’s strange! If he walks, he seems to be more comfortable longer (so long as he doesn’t twist or over do it).
Thank you friends!
